China's passenger car sales rose 8.5% in July from a year earlier, according to new sales data released by the China Automobile Industry Association on August 11. China's automobile output in July was 2.201 million, up 21.9% year-on-year, and the sales volume increased by 16.48%. In July, China produced 100000 new energy vehicles, with a year-on-year increase of 15.6%, and sales volume increased by 19.3%.

    From January to July, China's auto sales fell by 12.7% year-on-year, while the sales of new energy vehicles fell by 32.8% year-on-year.
