Aluminum veneer

Aluminum veneer refers to a new building decoration material made of aluminum alloy plate as the base material, after chrome treatment, CNC bending and other technologies, and fluorocarbon or powder spraying technology. Composite plate

Aluminum composite plate is a general term, which mainly refers to the chemical treated coated aluminum plate (aluminum veneer) as the surface material, compounded on the appropriate base material, and finally formed aluminum composite plate through various complex processing methods.

According to different composite base materials, aluminum composite plates have different material properties. For example, the common aluminum plastic plate is the composite plate of plastic+aluminum veneer. It not only retains the characteristics of plastic materials, but also overcomes the shortcomings of plastic materials through metal materials.

Another common aluminum composite plate is honeycomb aluminum plate: it is a composite material composed of honeycomb metal and aluminum veneer. In addition to retaining the finishing performance characteristics of aluminum veneer, the honeycomb metal structure base course can greatly make up for the shortcomings of aluminum veneer that is easy to bend. In more and more large space occasions, in order to ensure the flatness of finishing materials, this material will be used.

1. Differences between aluminum veneer and stainless steel

The surface treatment of stainless steel plate is to directly conduct wire drawing, sand blasting or etching on the pure stainless steel plate through electroplating, water plating and other methods. It is simple and crude, and it is convenient to remember. The treatment of aluminum veneer will become more complex.

The structure of ordinary aluminum veneer is mainly composed of panel, stiffener and corner code. The surface is generally chrome treated and then sprayed with fluorocarbon or powder, which is generally divided into two coats, three coats or four coats.

The aluminum veneer is generally made of 2-4mm thick pure aluminum plate or high-quality aluminum alloy plate as the base material for surface treatment. In China, 3.0mm thick aluminum alloy plate is generally used as the exterior wall decoration of buildings.

It is mentioned in the actual combat guide that fluorocarbon coating has excellent corrosion resistance and weather resistance, can resist acid rain, salt fog and various air pollutants, has excellent cold and heat resistance, can resist strong ultraviolet radiation, and can remain non fading and non powdering for a long time, and has a long service life. Therefore, these seemingly complex treatment methods also lead to one of the main reasons why major buildings use aluminum panels as external curtain walls instead of stainless steel.

Advantages of aluminum veneer

The basic reason why aluminum veneer can become the two giants of interior decoration metal plate together with stainless steel plate is that aluminum veneer has the following characteristics:

a. Light weight and high strength. 3.0mm thick aluminum plate weighs 8kg per square plate, and the tensile strength is 100~280N/m (N=Newton, mechanical unit).

b. Good durability and corrosion resistance. Use pvdf fluorocarbon paint or powder spraying to ensure excellent weather resistance and corrosion resistance.

c. Easy to process. With the process of processing before painting, the aluminum plate can be processed into plane, arc, spherical and other geometric shapes to meet the requirements of complex architectural modeling.

d. The anti coating is uniform and colorful. The advanced electrostatic spraying technology makes the adhesion between the paint and the aluminum plate uniform, with various colors, large selection space and architectural requirements.

e. It is not easy to stain and is convenient for cleaning and maintenance. The non adhesion of fluorine coating film makes it difficult to attach pollutants on the surface and has good self-cleaning property.

f. Installation and construction are convenient and fast. The aluminum plates are directly installed on site after being processed in the factory according to the order drawing, and do not need to be cut and processed on site, so the construction efficiency is very high, especially for some polygons, which is reflected in the two-dimensional surface modeling.

g. It is recyclable and environmentally friendly. Aluminum plate is different from glass, stone, ceramics, aluminum plastic plate and other decorative materials. It can be 100% recycled and has high recycling value.

Disadvantages of aluminum veneer

① The biggest disadvantage of aluminum veneer is that it is difficult to achieve a high degree of reduction in the sense of touch instead of traditional materials.

② When aluminum veneer is used as finishing material in a large area, it is very difficult to ensure the flatness of aluminum panel, and it is very easy to ripple. Therefore, when aluminum panel flatness is required, aluminum veneer is not recommended, but honeycomb aluminum panel is preferred.

Of course, the flaw does not hide the merit. It is precisely because these aluminum veneers have these characteristics that they have such a high position in the metal sheet industry and are widely used in the indoor and outdoor environment of buildings.

Common aluminum veneer processing methods

1. Spraying treatment

The aluminum veneer surface can be sprayed with color paint and then dried into two coats, three coats, etc. The color of a good spraying plate is evenly distributed, and the coating ripple distribution can be seen from the side of a poor plate.

2. Roller coating

After degreasing and chemical treatment on the surface of the aluminum veneer, the surface of the aluminum veneer is roller coated with high-quality paint, which is dry and solidified. The flatness of the surface paint film of the aluminum veneer roller coated is higher than that of the aluminum veneer sprayed. The biggest feature of roller coated plate is that the color simulation is extremely high, and various stone like and wood like effects can be achieved.

3. Anodic oxidation treatment

The aluminum plate has higher hardness, wear resistance, adhesion, corrosion resistance, electrical insulation, thermal insulation and oxidation resistance.

4. Film covering treatment

The coated aluminum veneer is made of high gloss film or magic color film, coated with professional adhesive, and has bright luster. There are many kinds of designs and colors available, which are waterproof and fireproof. It has excellent durability and anti pollution ability, and has excellent anti ultraviolet performance.

5. Metal wire drawing treatment

The aluminum plate is used as the base material, and the imported diamond cloth wheel is used as the outer surface of the roller, which is formed by pressing, roller coating and other chemical treatments. The appearance is bright and uniform in color, with a strong sense of fashion, giving people a strong visual impact.

6. Punching treatment

Aluminum veneer is also widely used in building indoor suspended ceiling combined with appropriate perforation surface treatment, which can be used as a good sound absorption material.
